How to Strengthen Yourself in the Lord

It is impossible for anyone to reach his ultimate destiny in life without learning to minister to himself. We can best appreciate the significance of this ability by understanding the nature of the role to which we are called.

When Scripture says "we shall reign on the earth" (Rev. 5:10), the implication is that every one of us has a destiny to stand in a position where we influence people around us. Each of us will have a different size and kind of sphere of influence, but we are all called as leaders in society. We are not called to "rule over others" in the sense of domination.

In God's kingdom, the power of rule is the divine enabling to serve others more effectively. And just as kings are to provide protection and prosperity for their citizens, so those who serve well in God's kingdom will offer safety and blessing to all who come under their influence.

Here are three keys to strengthen yourself in the Lord:

1. Take initiative. Perhaps the first quality that distinguishes a leader is initiative. God knew David would succeed as a leader because he took the initiative to seek Him in the secret place. This is the same quality of maturity that He is looking for in us.

To experience the positive peer pressure and momentum of a move of God in a corporate group is wonderful. But those who seek God's face and pursue His destiny for their lives when nobody is around, are the people who possess the initiative required to strengthen themselves. If they learn to sustain their initiative to seek God by strengthening themselves in testing, they will be the people who will experience the personal breakthroughs that release a corporate blessing to those around them.

2. Pursue longevity. God wants us to learn how to strengthen ourselves through Him because developing our skills will promote spiritual longevity. We need longevity because our destiny and potential cannot be attained in a few years; they extend to the end of our lifetime here on earth.

For this reason, I like to tell the students in our School of Supernatural Ministry, "Anyone can burn for God for a year. Come back in twenty years, take me out to coffee, and tell me you're still burning." Then I spend much of the school year teaching them the tools I've learned for strengthening myself.

It's obvious that the students possess enough initiative to pay the price to come to school. But without discovering and using tools to minister to themselves, they won't, I'm convinced, be able to sustain the desire that brought them initially. Sadly, I know too many Christian leaders who lack this ability, and as a result are suffering from burnout or moral failure.

3.  Past the Test of Lonely Seasons. Now, let me be clear that learning to strengthen ourselves does not mean that we develop an independent lifestyle. Our lifestyle as believers is always focused on serving, loving, and leaning on the body of Christ.

But for the sake of becoming mature and growing in favor so that we can bless those around us, God brings moments into our lives when we have to stand alone in difficulty and testing. God will even blind the eyes and deafen the ears of our closest friends in those moments so we can learn to minister to ourselves.

We must recognize this because I know a lot of believers who fall into bitterness, thinking their friends are failing them in a hard time. Understanding God's priority to teach us this lesson helps us to avoid that trap

The Muslim actor playing character jesus in the movie Killing jesus Movie 2015

The Muslim-raised actor starring in National Geographic Channel’s Killing Jesus has defended his casting against the notion that he’s somehow inappropriate for the role.

A reporter at the the Television Critics Association press tour Wednesday told actor Haaz Sleiman (Nurse Jackie, 24), an American actor who was raised in Lebanon, that some Christian conservatives weren’t thrilled with his casting in the project. “In Islam, we believe Jesus is a prophet and respect him and follow his teachings and put him beside the Prophet Muhammad – a lot of people don’t know that,” Sleiman said. “As a person who was raised Muslim, it’s an honor to play that…Personally, I’ve been heavily shaped by his teachings.”

As for his reaction to any disapproval, the actor said, “I cannot speak for Jesus, but I can quote his teachings and he said, ‘Love your neighbor as yourself’… How would he react to me playing Jesus? He wouldn’t judge it. He wouldn’t judge his own enemy … playing this part highlights his teaching in a very nice way.”

Later a reporter asked Sleiman what he first thought when he landed the role: “Jesus!” he said, drawing laughs. Then Sleiman added, more seriously: “I’m going to sound cheesy right now: The first thing I thought was ‘love.’ I really just felt love in the moment. He has influenced me heavily prior to getting this part and there’s nothing more powerful than that, and that’s what’s going to lead me through the whole journey. Every time I look at another cast member or member of crew, that I have love for them unconditionally no matter what they do. That was the first thing I felt – and then I called my mother, who said, ‘…bless you for playing Jesus, peace be upon him.’ I thought that was lovely.”

Killing Jesus is based on the bestselling book by Bill O’Reilly and Martin Dugard and will air as a three-hour film on NatGeo this year. The project costars Kelsey Grammer (Boss) as King Herod and Stephen Moyer (True Blood) as Pontius Pilate and include actors from a wide range of faiths and backgrounds.

What is Faith

Faith is believing. Faith is a gift of God, wrought in the heart by the Holy Spirit, which turn on and guide all our capabilities toward one goal. We should pray to have faith, and that our faith grows. Our faith will be strengthened by always remembering the promises of Christ who repeatedly pronounced that our prayers to the Father, in his name, must be answered if we ask with faith and trust when we ask for it. See
Matthew 7: 7; Luke 11: 9; John 14:13, 15, 16; James 4: 2; I John 3:22, 5:14;
Luke 11:10. Faith is defined as "the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen" (Heb. 11: 1); faith is the work of the soul which we feel sure of the existence and the truth of something that is not there in front of us, or not visible to the human senses. Everyone assess different faith, which he felt would be difficult if not impossible to show it in ways that appear. It is practicing the faith - a voluntary exercise - which enables us to grow in trusting great truths which God was pleased to reveal. Paul stated, "For we walk by faith, not by sight" (II Cor. 5: 7). Jesus Himself said (Jn. 20:29), "Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed". Thus, while believing what we see and understand will bring benefits, believe in what is not seen and understood only vaguely bring greater benefits. There are many things in this universe that we believe, without having to fully comprehend; we believe because we get the evidence from others, though not of our own senses. Faith who simply believe in what he could see, understand, explain and show no faith at all. "No one has seen God", but everyone believes in God. The things in the spiritual world can not be demonstrated through intermediaries material, but only through intermediaries spiritual. Using faith will increase our spirituality, enabling us to understand things that without this kind of exercise will not be understood. Paul said to the Greeks learned that skeptical Gospel is "foolishness". Pride of intelligence is one of the biggest barrier to spiritual growth.

Sick picture
maybe today is my bad day because I usually do not ever hurt this bad and all this time, and may God teach you something about the meaning of obedience and so far I always underestimate it. and one side to be honest I do not like the name Joshua Barker even now I do not like but I will try to accept it with all my heart. This originated from the taunts wherever I am, it is difficult thing I do not like it became a favorite with the people around me first I did not receive, so the better Korean or be myself. talents that God gave to me so I do not like it because I can read people's minds it seemed to go back to my elementary school where at that time I was using it with one of my abilities even I became king, at that time the power feared by friends I but here the difference is very much in my helping the people, providing solutions about their lives, their personal problems and encourage them to close in god. but one hand I was confused as to whether God gives it the ability again I tried to remove it but could not get closer to God the more powerful his abilities and before I try to remove it by way of establishment worship other gods and was successful ability to read people's minds the day was declining and increasingly weakened but one hand on my heart that there is no peace is always angry and emotional but this time I will try to be a blessing to those around me and try to accept all that God gave to me

activities in my school SMA KUTA PURA

hello guys back again at the story of Joshua Barker this time I will tell my school. I was the one who have physical limitations. I am in junior high school (SMA KUTA PURA)
is a pride for me because the previous time I was finished in Smp I tried to enroll in one of the schools that rejected me, the reason is because I usually do not physically but when I tried to enroll in school (SMA KUTA PURA ) and they accepted me without question. I am very proud of the school there because I think (SMA KUTA PURA) do not judge a person's physical. assess their strong willingness to learn before I do not think I received schooling there. This is a great boon for me. I am a person with disabilities can compete with my friends who normally it is great. For anyone who read my story and wanted to come to Bali or meet with me please send an email or make a comment. Here are some images of my friends
